New This Week

I just listed Sugar earrings at my little shop. I made them by setting cute pink vintage glass cabs in laced antiqued brass and finished the look with tiny ribbons. I am very happy how they turned out!

I adore Audrey Hepburn's style, sweet yet very sophisticated. She is an inspiration to me. I like using small ribbons and shades of pink and black together in my designs. Would she like Sugar? I would like to think so :)

Welcome Treasury East :)

I love making treasuries and I have been spending quite some time just be online at the right moment to snag one. If you are not familiar Etsy and treasuries I am probably not making sense at all :)

Treasuries are member curated shopping lists, usually made with an inspiration color palette or theme. They are a wonderful way to show your taste and appreciate and promote the shops you love. Until now there were only specific times when you can make these treasury, so I had yo watch out for the "treasury clock".

Thanks to ETSY it is not the case any more.

I made my first Treasury Easy, Fresh:

Inspiration: Spring
Featured Shops: redhotpottery, littlebrownbird, papermoth, lilfishstudios, sabahnur, cultivar, LittleWhiteDress, HoneyBoyVintage, OfNatureDesigns, refectionsbyds, ShebboDesign, SewnNatural, HouseJewels, giardino, thespottedbarn, lucysnowephotography

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

I value handmade products and try to give them as gifts whenever possible. In my opinion it is especially appropriate for mother's day to give gifts which are handmade with love and care.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to handcraft what we have in mind, let the reason be time or resources, so I assembled a mother's day collection from some of my favorite handmade shops. I picked items with soft spring colors and little feminine details.

1st row: Mom will know you love her when she sees the wonderful Daisy Fortune Ring by meltemsem $57,
Ivory Gorgeous Mohair Shrug by reflectionsbyds is just divine, very light weight and romantic, great gift for stylish moms, $70
A very thoughtful and unique gift very likely to be cherished every single day :) Hand painted Custom Portrait Mug Set of Two by ShebboDesign $85

2nd row: Very chic and versatile accessory for mom an amazing Grey Shawl/Scarf by filofashion, $80
Peach Flower Hair Comb is so pretty and is a steal by ayawedding, $16
For vintage loving moms limited edition Gentle Necklace will make a great gift handmade by me, dreamyvintage, $32

3rd row For the eco-conscious mom I would like to suggest beautiful and practical Three Daisies Personalized Stationery by paperinstyle $15
Here is a gift that is guaranteed to get the "Awww...", adorable Mom and child chick Mother's Day Special Edition by sabahnur, $27
Common belief is "a woman cannot have too many shoes or too many purses". This holds true at least for my mom. If this is the case for yours too, pretty Nanya bag might be the right gift for your mom by bayanhippo, $34

I hope you like my picks and they help you to find the perfect gift!

New This Week

As I mentioned earlier, I will keep adding new pieces to my shop weekly and also introduce them here at my blog.

This week additions are Twilight earrings and Glow necklace. Both pieces are inspired by estate style and made with vintage glass jewels.

I made Glow with vintage topaz jewel, which is one of my favorites to wear with dark rich colors like burgundy, navy and chocolate brown. This jewel has a golden glow with orange undertones, it looks like a giant delicious drop of honey to me :)

In contrast to sweet Glow, I made Twilight earrings which are edgier yet very feminine and sophisticated. Shades of smoky gray and blood red look really great together on these vintage jewels.

Let me know what you think!

Mother's Day

Mother's day is May 9th this year! Do you have any plans for the occasion?

Choosing a gift for mom is not always easy. Although pretty classic flowers are always nice to give and receive, a live plant is even better. If you are living close, a long brunch or a short trip to a new place can be fun too. Treating her a day at her favorite spa would also make a fantastic gift, join her to make her day even better.

This year I will be sending my mom a limited edition necklace I made for all mothers and their babies - she does not know about my blog :) Meet "Gentle". I liked how it turned out.

Do you have a bright mother's day idea? What was the best gift you gave/received? I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Portrait of a Lady

... not the novel but my new locket necklace. There was something strong yet so soft about the lady in the artwork, it just felt right to name her that way.
